Luke joined the extratime.com team in 2022 and is the current host of the extratime.com podcast.

He’s been a follower of the league since 2007 after the FAI Soccer camps gave out free season tickets to the club of your choice and he’s been hooked since.

When he is not on the Camac Terrace in Richmond Park on a Friday night, he can also be seen reporting on games in the League of Ireland.

It’s a bumper edition of the extratime.ie Sportscast as presenter Declan Marron is once again joined in studio by extratime.ie reporter Dave Donnelly. It’s been a great few weeks for Ireland’s Modern Pentathlete Natalya Coyle. In June, Natalya and her team-mate Arthur Lanigan-O’Keeffe finished in first place at the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) World Cup IV. That was followed by the news that she had been retrospectively been bumped up to sixth place at the Rio Olympics. Natalya joins Declan and Dave on the phone from a training camp in Poland as she talks about the increasing profile of Modern Pentathlon in Ireland, drugs in sport as well as her targets for the future. The transfer window shut last week and we have two players on the Sportscast that secured moves from the West to Dublin clubs. First up St. Patrick’s Athletic new signing Paul O’Conor talks about life at his new club having moved from Limerick and the targets for the rest of the current season. It’s been a big few years for Lee Grace. Having started out with Wexford Youths, a move to Galway United meant leaving his job in the Army. Now the Tipperary native has moved to Shamrock Rovers and he talks to the lads about the whirlwind few years and the move to professional football.

The Extratime.ie Sportcast has returned following a short hiatus with a new anchor in tow in the form of Declan Marron. On this edition of the Sportscast, we discuss the League of Ireland sides’ recent efforts in European competition. We talk about Dundalk’s 1-1 draw in their Champions League opener at home to Rosenborg, who finally seem to have gotten over the loss of John Carew with the recruitment of Nicklas Bendtner. Dave was in Tallaght Stadium on Thursday to witness Graham Burke’s worldie in the defeat to Mlada Boleslav, while there’s also talk to Cork City’s meeting with AEK Larnaca and the merits of midseason friendlies. Finally, we look back on a curtailed weekend of League of Ireland Premier Division action and look ahead to the weekend’s fixtures.
