Galway United re-sign Francely Lomboto and Conor O’Keefe as John Caulfield builds squad for top-flight return

Promoted Galway United have confirmed the re-signings of Francely Lomboto and Conor O’Keefe for the 2024 campaign.

The Tribesmen eased to the Premier Division this term thanks to a stunning league campaign in the First Division.

And their boss John Caulfield has been busy in recent days assembling his squad for 2024.

Brendan Clarke has already signed up for another year at Eamonn Deacy Park - and he will be joined by Lomboto and O’Keefe.

23-year-old striker Lomboto heads into his fourth season in Galway since signing for the club back in 2020.

The Galway native made 37 appearances in all competitions for United this year and scored seven times.

Meanwhile, O’Keefe, 30, hails from Co Westmeath and is also heading into fourth successive campaign with the club.

The Mullingar native made 23 appearances in all competitions last season for United, scoring once and keeping 14 clean sheets in that period.
