COBH RAMBLERS

Cobh Ramblers boss Shane Keegan has called on his side to use their home crowd to their advantage when they welcome Treaty United to St Colman’s Park.

Ramblers are sitting pretty in the play-off positions and have five of their last eight games at home.

“Five of our last eight games now are at home and we need to make St Colman’s Park a fortress,” Keegan told his club’s media team.

“We need the supporters to play their part in that. Every single point along the way will be unbelievably fought for but that’s what we have to do.

“We’ve got to show confidence in ourselves, embrace that pressure and show we are here for a reason.

“There’ll be ups and downs but we have a firm belief that we can do enough to reach those play-offs.”

TREATY UNITED

Following a stunning comeback against Waterford on Monday night, Treaty United will be in fine fettle ahead of their trip to Cork.

Treaty fought back from 2-0 down to draw against the Blues at the Market’s Field to all but secure Galway’s league title win.

But having fought back so valiantly against a full-time opponent, their full-back Dean O’Shea is raring for the Shannonsiders to go again.

“We can’t fear any team and we just have to go out there and take every game as it comes,” he told his club’s media team.

“We’ll try to get a result in every game and keep going between now and the end of the season.”
