Shelbourne has officially confirmed the acquisition of Euclides Cabral for the remainder of the season, pending international clearance.

The 24-year-old versatile full back hails from Portugal and has an impressive history with clubs including Grasshoppers, St. Gallen, and Apollon Limassol.

Cabral’s most recent football journey was with Apollon Limassol, a team in the Cypriot First Division, where he clocked six appearances.

Prior to this, he had a significant stint with Switzerland's St. Gallen during the 2021/22 season, making 23 appearances for the side.

The Portuguese player's roots trace back to the Sporting CP academy.

Cabral’s contract with Shelbourne FC sees him committed to Tolka Park through the end of the season, with the club holding an option to potentially extend the contract for an additional year.

Shelbourne FC's Head Coach, Damien Duff, expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition, stating: “We are delighted that Euclides has joined us for the final push. He has played at a high level around Europe and will bring a different dynamic to the squad... He has settled in quickly and we all look forward to seeing him in a Shelbourne jersey.”

Cabral also shared his excitement about the move: “I am absolutely thrilled to join Shelbourne FC... This is a new chapter in my career, a new country, a new challenge and I couldn’t be happier to wear the Shelbourne jersey.”
