Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of winger Anthony Musaba from French side Monaco.

Musaba's arrival marks the Owls' seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old Dutchman, noted for his speed, first made a name for himself in the Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen.

His performance in the 2019/20 Eerste Divisie campaign saw him score five goals and assist seven times. These contributions caught the attention of Monaco, who signed him in June 2020.

Musaba has since been loaned out to Cercle Brugge in Belgium, Heerenveen in the Netherlands, French side Metz, and again to Nijmegen.

Speaking to swfc.co.uk, Sheffield Wednesday's boss Xisco said: “Anthony has big capacity with a lot of ability one against one and he is a player who learns and will give everything."

Xisco added, “He has the experience of being with a big club like Monaco and now this is an opportunity for him at a big club like Sheffield Wednesday. He has a lot of pace, he is a good crosser of the ball and I think he will be a very good player for us.”
