Bradford City has successfully signed forward Tyler Smith to a three-year deal, extending until the summer of 2026.

The 24-year-old forward, turning down several offers from English Football League clubs, has chosen to join the Bantams.

Tyler Smith, originally starting his senior career at Sheffield United, has extensive experience playing in the Championship.

His football journey includes loan spells at Bristol Rovers, Swindon Town, Doncaster Rovers, Barrow, and Rochdale.

In 2021, Smith signed for Hull City, making 37 appearances over two years. He also spent part of the previous season on loan at Oxford United.

Smith shared his enthusiasm about his new club, saying, “I am delighted to get the deal done. I just cannot wait to start."

He further described himself as an "energetic and hard-working striker," and expressed his aspirations to contribute towards Bradford City's goals.

Bradford City's manager, Mark Hughes, expressed his delight in securing the player's signature.

“Tyler is a player we have held an interest in for a long period of time, so we are delighted to be able to welcome him to the club.

“He is a pacy striker with the ability to run in behind and stretch defences, as well as obviously possessing a clear goal threat.

“He has experience of playing at a high level, having spent the past two years in the Championship with Hull City, and will bring something a little different to our forward line.

“We are looking forward to having Tyler with us as we begin pre-season training this week, and I am sure you will join me in wishing him a warm welcome,” concluded Hughes.
