League of Ireland Attendances - Gameweek 6

With the exception of Wexford Youths, the seven other home teams for Gameweek 6 also played at home in Gameweek 4 – Wexford played at home in Gameweek 5. This week we are going to first look at the gain or drop since the home club’s last game.

Dundalk’s home game against Derry City topped this week’s attendance charts with 2,105 but that is a drop of 1,423 since their last home game against Cork City. Shamrock Rovers' game against Galway United saw 1,711 punters file into Tallaght but that is a drop of 1,742 from their last home game against Pats.

Sligo Rovers' gate was also down to 629, Limerick’s numbers dropped by 230 with Wexford saw 79 less souls walk through the gates for their home game this week, while Drogheda's 4-0 win over Cabinteely was watched by 115 less than their 2-2 draw against Athlone Town.

Bohemians were the only club to see an increase as they gained four more viewers for their clash with Longford Town over their visit of Wexford Youths. As UCD’s last two attendances were estimates, we won’t analyse their figures. We have as always requested a figure and will update should the club choose to supply us with one.

The average attendance this Gameweek was 1,161 which comes in as the second lowest of the six Gameweeks so far. The opening week’s 1,912 average attendance remains well clear as the highest.
