League of Ireland Attendances - Gameweek 6

Ten games played out in Gameweek 6 for the Airtricity League of Ireland which resulted in a total attendance of 13,997 (nine official attendances and one estimate). The average attendance of 1,400 for this Gameweek is the second lowest since the start of the season. Only Gameweek 5 ranked lower (1,292) with the opening weekend of the 2015 season still ranking highest on average with 1,811.

As per usual when Cork City play at home, they topped the table with a total Gameweek 6 attendance of 5,104. It was more than double the second placed attendance of 2,328 which came at Tallaght Stadium for the meeting of Shamrock Rovers and Galway United. Cork City’s home crowd has averaged 4,285 so far this season.

Over the season so far 84,136 people have watched League of Ireland football, which works out at an average of 1,530 per ground. Cork City (4,285), Shamrock Rovers (3,645) and Dundalk (3,369) are the top three crowd pullers whilst at the wrong end of the scale are UCD (264), Cobh Ramblers (370) and Wexford Youth (374).  

New boys Cabinteely FC have impressed with their crowds as they have averaged 1,135 per game over their three home fixtures.
