David’s Biography
Dave spent some time in England with Carlisle United before returning to Ireland where he lined out with Mullingar Athletic and O'Devaney. In July 2005 Dave signed for Kildare County but he was released by the club at the end of the 2006 season. Having left Kildare Dave played with Dublin side Malahide United before returning to league football with Monaghan United in 2008.
In January 2012, after four years outside league football, Dave signed for Aaron Callaghan at Bohemians where he played for two seasons. He made 37 league appearances for the Phibsboro club (21 as substitute) and scored two league goals. Dave's goal tally was boosted by six Cup strikes including a hat-trick against Drumkeen United in the 2012 FAI Cup, but he left the club at the end of 2013 and in January 2014 he signed for Ballymun United. Dave's exile from the LoI was brief, however, and in mid February 2014 he signed for Alan Mathews at Bray Wanderers.
Dave went on to make 27 league appearances for Bray in the 2014 season, scoring four goals in the process, as the Seagulls finished tenth, adding a further 23 league appearances the following season, netting another three times. In November 2015, Dave joined amateur side O'Devaney Dunard as player-manager but this did not last long as he left the club midway through January of 2016 before O'Devaney Dunard then pulled out of the AUL at the end of the month. Dave returned to the League of Ireland in February 2016 when he signed for Premier Division side Finn Harps.
David scored on his debut for Finn Harps, a 2-1 win over Derry City on the opening night of the 2016 Premier Division, and he managed three goals in 27 league appearances over the season.
