Tadhg’s Biography

Tadhg started his League of Ireland career at Shamrock Rovers where he played with their U21 team in 2003. In 2004 he took up the offer of a one-year scholarship at UCD, before joining Kilkenny City at the start of the 2005 saeson.

Tadhg made 35 appearances for Kilkenny under Pat Scully and moved with him when Scully took up the managerial reins at Shamrock Rovers in 2006. Tadhg helped Rovers to the First Division title in 2006 and went on to spend four years at the club, scoring 28 goals in 104 league appearances.

He left Rovers in September 2009 and the following January he signed for Darlington, then managed by Steve Staunton. Tadhg made 22 league appearances for the Quakers and scored nine goals before leaving the club in the summer of 2010.

He then signed for Northampton Town on 30 June 2010 but an injury on his debut ended his season. In September 2011 Tadhg went back to Darlington on loan and in February 2012 he signed another loan deal, this time with Cork City.

Tadhg made his debut for Cork on the opening night of the 2012 season away to UCD on 2 March. He made 15 league appearances for the club, scoring two league goals, though he added four more goals in Cup competition, including a hat-trick against Athlone Town the the 2nd round of the FAI Cup. He returned to Northampton on 1 July when his loan deal expired.
