Willie’s Biography

Willie is a defender who played for Bray Wanderers during the 2006 season, departing the "Seagulls" in December of '06. He then signed for Kilkenny City in July 2007, and in 2008 he was with Kildare County.

Willie then dropped down to the Leinster Senior League with Wayside Celtic before returning to League football when signing for Tony Cousins at Longford Town in January 2013. He went on to make twenty-two appearances for the club, scoring twice, as Longford lost out to Bray Wanderers in the play-offs. Willie re-signed for the 2014 season.

Willie played fourteen times in the First Division, before a leg injury ruled him out for the rest of the season, as Longford won the First Division title and were promoted. Willie re-signed for the club for the 2015 season in the Premier Division and went on to make ten league appearances for the Da Town before leaving the club at the end of July to join Wexford Youths.

The defender went on to make six appearances in the latter stages of the season for Wexford, earning two red cards in games against Cabinteely and Finn Harps, as Wexford were crowned champions of the 2015 First Division. He left the club at the end of the season.
