Gary’s Biography
Gary, who hails from Killea on the Donegal border, is a cousin of Harps striker Kevin McHugh. He made his debut for Finn Harps against Kildare County in a First Division Cup match on September 4th 2002.
Gary had a brief run in the first team at Finn Park in 2003, scoring on his league debut against Dublin City and following it up with another goal the following week against Kilkenny City.
He went on to play a vital role in the club's First Division Championship season of 2004 but was in and out of the side due to injury throughout 2005.
He was released by Finn Harps at the end of the 2005 season.
In 2012 Gary played with Kildrum Tigers in the Ulster Senior League and was part of the team that reached the second round of the FAI Cup.
