Seamus’s Biography
Seamus is a goalkeeper who signed for UCD in the summer of 1993 from his hometown club Tullamore, establishing himself as one of the country's top keepers during his 150 League appearances with UCD (where he now lectures on occasion).
Honoured by Ireland at 'B' level during 96/97, he has also played in goal for Offaly in senior Gaelic football. He transferred to Cardiff City in the summer of 1998, returning to Dublin in 2000 to join St. Patrick's Athletic. After three successful years there, he joined Bohemians for the 2003 campaign.
Seamus joined Longford Town on loan from Bohemians during the mid-season transfer window in 2005 and was then released by Bohs at the end of the season, at which point he signed permanently for Longford. Seamus went on to make 65 appearances in his four seasons at Flancare Park.
