Kevin’s Biography

Kevin is a central defender who began his footballing career with St. Martins Boys. He went on to play for Home Farm where he made the Irish Schools International squad and was spotted by Liverpool FC.

He spent four seasons at Anfield, impressing both Steve Heighway and Gerard Houllier but a broken leg halted his progress and he returned to Irish football in 2001, signing for Shelbourne. He made his league debut in August 2001 against Dundalk.

Over the following four seasons he made over 70 league appearances for the Reds and was part of three title winning sides. But in 2005, Kevin went on a season long loan to Waterford United. He made 19 league appearances that season but was released by Shels on his return in January 2006.

He joined Longford Town for the 2006 season and spent two years at Flancare Park, making 43 league appearances. He also played in the 2007 FAI Cup final when Longford were beaten 1-0 by Cork City at the RDS.

But 2007 also saw Longford relegated to the First Division and In November of that year Kevin left the club, signing for Bray Wanderers. He spent the 2008 season at the Carlisle Grounds and made 26 appearances in the Premier Division, but In 2009, he returned to his first Irish club, Shelbourne.

Kevin made 17 league appearances for Shelbourne in 2009 but shortly after the 2010 season had started he announced his retirement due to persistant injuries.

In January 2018, Kevin left his post with St Mochta's to take up the Drogheda United Assistant Manager job.
