Craig’s Biography
Craig joined Bray Wanderers in the summer of 2006 and played for the clubs U21 side in 2007 and 2008. He then played for Crumlin United in 2009, taking part in their FAI Cup campaign when the LSL side beat Shelbourne in the third round only to lose out to Waterford United after a replay in the fourth round.
Craig went on to play for Newbridge Town in the 2010/11 Leinster Senior League and in the summer of 2011 he signed for Shamrock Rovers. Craig didn't make any league appearances for the Hoops that season, appearing three times as an unused substitute.
In January 2012 Craig signed for Tony Cousins at Longford Town where he made 26 league appearances in a season that saw Longford denied promotion only by a play-off defeat to Waterford United. He left Longford at the end of the season and having agreed signed for Irish League side Crusaders he subsequently had his contract cancelled due to the difficulty of traveling. He then signed for Waterford United on 5 February.
Craig played 24 matches for Waterford in the First Division in 2013 and he kept twelve clean sheets in those games. Unfortunately, this was not enough as Waterford just missed out on the play-offs. In December 2013 Craig signed for Shamrock Rovers for a second time and played 3 league games in the 2014 Premier Division, keeping clean sheets in all three, whilst also playing three league games for the Rovers B team in the First Division.
In 2015 Craig broke into the Rovers first team, making 20 league appearances, keeping eleven clean sheets, as Rovers finished third in the Premier Division. He also played in all four of the club's Europa League games as Rovers went out to Norwegian side Odds. He made a further 14 league appearances in 2016, as Rovers finished fourth in the league, and also played in another two European ties, this time against RoPS of Finland in the Europa League. Craig then left Shamrock Rovers at the end of the 2016 season.
Ahead of the 2018/19 Leinster Senior League season, Hyland returned to senior football with St Mochta's.
