Gareth’s Biography

Gareth began his League of Ireland career at Drogheda United in 2007. He made one League Cup appearance in both 2007 and 2008 before signing for Liam Buckley at Sporting Fingal.

In 2009 Gareth made 12 league appearances as Sporting won promotion from the First Division. He also made 5 Cup appearances, one of which was as a substitute in the club's 2009 FAI Cup final victory over Sligo Rovers.

In 2010 Gareth moved down the road to Shelbourne, signing for Dermot Keely and made 23 league appearances for the Reds as they finished fourth in the First Division, narrowly missing out on the end of season promotion play-offs.

In January 2011 Gareth went on trial back at Drogheda United, finally signing up under new boss Mick Cooke. In what was a difficult start to the season, Gareth made 7 league appearances, the last of which came in a 2-1 defeat to Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on 15 April 2011.

Gareth left Drogheda in the summer of 2011 and joined LSL side Glebe North.
