Damien ’s Biography
Damien is a Galway lad from Oughterard and developed in the underage system at Salthill Devon. In 2009 he played in the Salthill Devon side that reached the U20 Cup final. He also played in the senior side that reached the A Championship final of 2009, coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Shamrock Rovers at Drom.
Damien was also part of Salthill's debut League of Ireland season of 2010, making his league debut at home to Waterford United on 27th March. He made 12 league appearances that year, scoring once in a 2-2 draw away to Athlone Town.
In 2011 Damien left Salthill to concentrate on playing GAA and was a member of Galway's senior football panel. But in the summer of 2012 he returned to Salthill, signing for Tony Mannion's SD Galway on 1 July 2012. He scored on his return to Salthill colours, in a 2-2 draw with Wexford Youths on 7 July and he made 7 league appearances before returning to GAA in 2013.
