Seamus’s Biography
Seamus started his career with Derry City and made his first senior appearance as a substitute in a 3-0 League Cup win over Finn Harps on 5 May 2008. In the summer of 2009 he went on loan to Finn Harps but was back in Derry colours in 2010, making four league appearances as Derry took the First Division title.
In January 2011 Seamus took time out from football to travel abroad, returning to the game at the start of the 2011/12 season when he signed for Lisburn Distillery.
Seamus was back in Derry colours in February 2015 when he appeared in a pre-season game against Ballinamallard United before signing a contract with Peter Hutton's side. He went on to make 11 league appearances as Derry finished seventh in the 2015 Premier Division. Seamus left the club at the end of that season but popped up at Limerick Fc in the pre-season of 2016.
Seamus appeared on trial for Limerick FC in February 2016 and duly signed for Martin Russell's side in time to play in their First Division opener against UCD. He played in 5 of the club's opening six league games as well as their EA Cup game against Cobh Ramblers, but was not involved with the first team beyond April of that year.
After a two week trial with Sligo Rovers, Seamus signed with the Bit O'Red for the remainder of the 2017 season in June of that year.
In November 2017, Seamus committed to Sligo Rovers for another year.
In December 2018, Glenavon announced the signing of Seamus on a two and a half year deal.
