Darren’s Biography
Darren played with Sheriff YC before signing for Eddie Gormley at Wanderers in December 2008. He made his debut for the Seagulls in a 2-0 EA Sports Cup defeat to Drogheda United on 13 April 2009 but was released by the club in June of that year without making any further appearances.
He then captained Shamrock Rovers' A Championship side between May and August of 2010 but had to leave the Hoops to complete an apprenticeship. Darren returned to Sheriff YC in September 2010 and played in their FAI Cup run of 2011. Despite beating First Division Shelbourne 3-2 in the fourth round, Sheriff were expelled from the competition for playing an ineligible player.
