Michael’s Biography
Michael was released by Manchester City in the summer of 2008 after three years with the club. He signed for Sean Connor at Dundalk in February 2009 and made 31 appearances that season.
In 2010 he moved to Drogheda United where he made 33 appearances as the Drogs finished bottom of the Premier League. Michael emigrated at the end of the 2010 season but returned to Ireland in time to join Drogheda United's pre-season squad in February 2013.
Michael played 24 league games for Drogheda in the 2013 season and scored two goals in draws against Bohemians and Derry City. He also played in three cup finals in 2013, though Drogheda lost all of them, as well as in both legs of the club's Europa League tie against Malmo FF.
Michael was once more an integral part of the Drogheda side in 2014, this time playing twenty-nine times in the league, scoring one goal in a 1-1 draw with Derry City, as Drogheda finished ninth in the league table. Mick stayed with the club for the 2015 season and captained the side as he made thirty-two league appearances, scoring four times in the process, as Drogheda United were relegated as they finished bottom of the Premier Division on the last day of the season.
In November 2015, Mick signed for Mick Cooke at Bray Wanderers. Then in August Mick Daly announced that he had parted company with the club.
