Keith’s Biography

Keith is an Irish midfielder who plays for Ipswich Town in the English Championship.

He played at Dublin schoolboy side Stella Maris before heading to England in 1999 to join the Wolverhampton Wanderers youth academy. He made his first team debut against Swindon Town in March 2000 and went on to make 72 appearances in six years at Molineux.

In 2005 he moved on, joining Hull City for a one year spell that was followed by a move to Milton Keynes Dons in the summer of 2006. Keith made 78 league appearances in his two years at MK and won promotion from League Two under manager Paul Ince, who he followed to Blackburn Rovers in August 2008.

Keith spent three and a half years at Ewood Park, the last six months of which were spent on loan at Ipswich Town, and in January 2012 he chose a move to West Bromwich Albion ahead of a return to Blackburn, signing for Roy Hodgson and making 13 league appearances over the latter half of the 2011/12 season.

Keith made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland on 19 November 2008, scoring in a 3-2 friendly defeat to Poland.
