Alex’s Biography
Alex played with French side Orleans before signing for Derry City in August 1986. He scored on his League debut, a 1-0 win over Cobh Ramblers on 19 October '86 and finished the season with 18 league goals from just 17 league appearances.
After just one season at the Brandywell, Alex went to Germany for a two year spell with Saabrucken but returned to the Candystripes in 1989. He scored another 13 league goals in his second spell with Derry City but went back to France in 1990 for a two year stint at Rodez AF.
In 1992 Alex went to Portugal to play with Beira-Mar. He played there for two seasons and then rounded off his professional career with another two years at FC Felgueiras.
