Alan’s Biography

Alan was a defender who played for Bohemians' reserve side in the early 1980s, working his way into Billy Young's senior side in the 1981/82 season. He spent nine seasons in the Bohs defence but was given a free transfer by Eamon Gregg in the summer of 1990.

Ahead of the new season, Alan signed for Athlone Town where he played for one season, leaving in the summer of 1991 to sign for Monaghan United. He spent three and a half seasons at Gortakeegan but financial issues hit the club in 1994 and he left in December to join St Patrick's Athletic.

Alan was only with the Inchicore club until the end of that season and in the summer of 1995 he returned for a second spell at Athlone Town.
