Paddy’s Biography
Paddy played with Junior side St Malachy's in 1981/82 before being signed by Bohemians at the end of that season. He spent two seasons with Bohs from 1982 to 1984 without quite nailing down a first team place and in the summer of '84 he left Dalymount Park to join rivals Shamrock Rovers.
Shamrock Rovers reserve side in1984/85 and made occasional first team appearances during the season. He was released by the Hoops in the summer of 1985 and moved south to join Cork City.
Paddy's first goal for Cork came in a 1-1 draw away to Newcastle United of Limerick in a League Cup tie on 29 September and his first league goals came against UCD in November when he got both City's goals in a 2-2 draw. He finished 1985/86 with 11 league and cup goals.
After one season with Cork, Paddy went to the US where he took up a sports scholarship in New Jersey.
