Jackie’s Biography

Jackie is known as a Bohemian FC legend after a glittering nine years at Dalymount Park but he began his League of Ireland career at arch rivals Shamrock Rovers in 1975. He spent three seasons at Milltown but left after only a handful of senior appearances and joined St Patrick's Athletic in February of 1979.

He spent another three years at Pats where he scored 17 times in 68 league appearances before signing for Billy Young at Bohemians in 1981. He went on to score 70 league goals for the Gypsies in over 300 competitive appearances but was released in July of 1990 by new manager Eamon Gregg after nine seasons with the club.

Jackie died tragically in 2002 aged just 45 and is still celebrated by the club's supporters to this day. He was inducted into the Bohemians Hall of Fame in 2007 and a function room at Dalymount Park is named in his honour.
