Jon Paul’s Biography
Jon Paul is a Scottish midfielder who began his career at Celtic as a 16-year-old. His senior debut came while on loan at Sheffield United and he left Celtic without having made a senior appearance in the summer of 2003. He moved on to join Livingstone where he made 27 league appearances before signing for Sheffield Wednesday a year later.
Jon Paul spent two seasons with the Owls, followed by one season at MK Dons in 2006/07. He then signed for Swindon Town in the summer of 2007 and he made 153 league appearances over four seasons at the County Ground. In June 2011 he signed a two year contract at Carlisle United and he made 85 league appearances for them before the end of his contract at the end of 2012/13.
After a short spell at Scottish non-league side Celtic Nation, Jon Paul signed for Derry City in March 2014. His debut for Derry came at the Brandywell in a 1-0 win over Sligo Rovers on 4 April 2014 and he made 10 league and cup appearances for the club before leaving in June by mutual consent.
