Ciaran’s Biography

Ciaran came through the underage ranks at Dundalk and was first involved with the first team in 2013, scoring in a friendly against Glentoran on 30 June. On 1st July he signed an 18 month professional contract with the club and made his first team competitive debut in a Leinster Senior Cup tie against Shamrock Rovers two weeks later. Ciaran was part of Dundalk's U19 squad for their 2013/2014 season and remained part of the club's first team squad in 2014.

His first team outings were limited to Cup competition in 2014, starting against Bray Wanderers, Derry City and Wexford in the EA Cup but he joined Warrenpoint Town FC on loan in September 2014 until January 2015. He did well during his loan spell, scoring five goals and getting four assists in seventeen appearances for the club, before returning to Dundalk for the 2015 season in January. He didn't make a league appearance for Dundalk but he did score his first senior goal, in a Leinster Senior Cup win away to Wexford Youths. He scored twice from four appearances in cup competitions before going on loan to Derry City in July.

Ciaran went on to score three goals in 10 league appearances for Derry over the latter half of the 2015 Premier Division campaign and returned to Dundalk where, in 2016 he made his league debut, away to Longford Town on 9 April. By the end of the season he had made 5 league appearances with the Lilywhites winning their third league title in a row.

In January 2017 Ciaran went on a six month loan at Finn Harps. Ciaran scored 5 times in 14 games during his loan spell. Then in July after his loan at Harps came to an end Dundalk sent Ciaran to Bohs to gain more Premier Division experience. Ciaran then departed Dundalk at the end of the 2017 season.

In December 2017, Finn Harps announced the signing of Ciaran after he left Dundalk.

In January 2020, Glentoran announced that they had signed Ciaran.
