Shane’s Biography
Shane is a defender who joined Limerick FC from Kilcornan AFC. He played for Limerick's U19 side in 2012/13 and took part in the first team's pre-season preparations prior to the 2013 season. He made his senior debut in a Munster Senior Cup tie against Avondale United on 22 February 2013 and made his league bow as a late substitute against St Pats at Thomond Park on 30 March. He went on to play 8 times in the league as Limerick finished seventh in the Premier Division.
Shane made 2 league appearances at the start of the 2014 season before an injury ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. He recovered ahead of the 2015 season and appeared on the bench for the first three games before playing in the next two. However, injury once again ruled him out for a long period and he went on to make only more one substitute appearance for the campaign as Limerick were relegated at the expense of Finn Harps in the play-offs.
In 2016 Limerick strolled to the First Division title but Shane made just 1 league appearance that year. In January 2017 he played in Limerick's Munster Senior Cup win over Cobh Ramblers. In July 2017 Shane left Limerick to move to Scotland to further his academic study.
