Philip ’s Biography
Philip played for Limavady United and Institute FC before signing for Linfield in June 2009. He made his debut for the Blues in a 4-0 defeat to Danish side Randers on 2 July 2009 and made his 100th appearance away to Ballymena United in September 2011. He spent five seasons at Windsor Park and won three league titles as well as three IFA Cup medals.
On 29 May 2014 Philip signed for Peter Hutton at Derry City and he made his debut for the Candystripes as a substitute in a 4-0 Europa League win against Aberystwyth Town at the Brandywell on 3 July. His league bow came three days later against Athlone Town. He finished the 2014 season with fifteen league appearances and one goal, which came in a 4-0 win over Limerick, as Derry finished eighth in the league. He also played in the FAI Cup Final, which Derry lost 2-0 to St Pats.
In 2015, Philip made twenty-five league appearances, scoring twice in the process, as Derry finished seventh in the Premier Division. He left the club at the end of the season.
