Bob is a forward who came through the underage system at Dundalk and played with the club's U19 side in 2011/12. He made his league debut for the club in a 2-0 home defeat to Derry City on 8 October 2011 and made 2 league appearances that year. In 2012 Bob made 7 league appearances, five as a substitute, and scored his first league goal for the club in a 2-2 draw with Bohemians at Oriel Park on 13 October.
Bob left Dundalk in January 2013, caught in the gap between the U19s and the first team squad and unable to count on regular football. He left to go to college in America before returning to Ireland in July 2015 to sign for Drogheda United. He went on to make eight league appearances for the club as Drogheda United were relegated on the last day of the season. He left the club at the end of the season.
