Jack’s Biography

Jack hails from Carrick on Suir and was signed by Paul O'Brien for Waterford United in August 2011 primarily as an addition to the club's U19 squad. He made his first team debut against Limerick FC on the last night of the 2011 season in a 3-0 defeat away to Limerick FC.

Jack made 9 league appearances the following year and scored twice for the Blues, against SD Galway and Wexford Youths, adding 11 more league appearances in 2013 before winning a contract at English Championship side Ipswich Town which he signed on 23 July 2013. Jack struggled to make the breakthrough at Portman Road and returned to Waterford on loan in February 2014. He was a regular in Tommy Griffin's First Division squad over the first half of the season, scoring twice in 16 league appearances but on the final day of the summer transfer window his contracts at Ipswich and Waterford expired and he moved west to sign for Martin Russell at Limerick FC.

Jack made six league appearances for Limerick before an injury ruled him out for the rest of the 2014 season. In January 2015 he signed up with Waterford Junior side Carrick United but weeks later, in mid February, it was announced that Jack had returned to Waterford United. On his return, he scored once in eleven First Division matches before leaving the club once more, in July 2015, and signing for Premier Division Longford Town. He went on to play in four league games before the conclusion of the 2015 season.

Jack left Longford at the end of 2015 and returned to Carrick United where he played until January 2019 at which point he rejoined Wexford. He left Wexford at the end of 2019 but signed back with them in July 2020. This next phase of his career lasted two and a half years up until the end of 2022 when he once more bade farewell to Ferrycarrig Park.

In December 2022 Jack left Wexford and signed for Cobh Ramblers. After one season at Cobh, when he helped the club reach the promotion play-offs, he left to sign for newly relegated Cork City in December 2023.
