Robinson’s Biography
Robinson Zapata Montano, aka Rufay, is a Colombian goalkeeper. He started his career in Colombia with America de Cali and Real Cartegena. In 2004 he moved to Argentina, playing with Rosario Central, Independiente and Belgrano. In 2006 he signed for Le Serena in Chile before moving back to Colombia to play for Cucuta Deportivo.
Moving to Europe
Zapata joined Steaua Bucuresti on July 23, 2007 for €500,000, signing a four year deal. In the beginning of the 2010-11 season, Rufay was demoted to the B squad with the arrival of coach Victor Piturca. With the arrival of a new coach, Dumitrescu, Zapata was restored to the first squad. On December 2010, Rufay ended his contract with the Romanian club.
On Jan 21, 2011, Zapata signed a one and a half year deal with Turkish team Galatasaray.

Moving to Europe
