Sean’s Biography
Brosnan was just one of an influx of youth players brought in at Limerick FC by manager Pat Scully for the 2011 season.
Originally intended for the A Championship side, Sean first appeared for Limerick as an unused substitute against Cork City at Jackman Park on 30th May 2011. One week later he started against Sacred Heart in the third round of the FAI Cup at Tallaght Stadium and scored twice in a 4-2 win. One week later he scored his first league goal for Limerick in a crucial 2-1 win over Longford Town at Flancare Park. By the end of the 2011 season Sean had made 16 league appearances and scored three league goals. The following year he scored four times in 18 league appearances
In February 2013 Sean played for Cork City during their pre-season build up, and signed for the club on 22 February before pulling out on the eve of the new season due to the pressure of his studies.
Sean later played for Avondale United in the Munster Senior League.
