Alan ’s Biography
Alan is a Northern Irish international goalkeeper started his career at Southampton. He spent five years at the English club and had loan spells at Stockport County, Bournemouth, Rushden & Diamonds and Brighton & Hove Albion before signing for Doncaster Rovers in 2006. In February 2007 Alan joined Oldham Athletic where he played until the summer of 2007.
On 7 August 2007 Alan signed for Bohemians and he made his debut on 31 August against Bray Wanderers. He made just 3 appearances for Bohs and left at the end of the 2007 season to move north of the border to join Ballymena United.
Alan signed for Linfield on 1 June 2009 and made his debut in a European game against Danish side Randers on 2 July. He has since made over 130 appearances for the Belfast club.
Played for Northern Ireland in 2-0 defeat against Turkey in Connecticut, USA on 26 May 2010. Also in 1-0 defeat away to Chile 4 days later. Was also a half time sub in 1-1 friendly draw against Morocco at Windsor Pk on 17 October 2010 and played in 5-0 defeat to Republic of Ireland on May 24, 2011.
Alan then played for Ballymena United during the 2015/16 season.
