Glenmalure Park
Glenmalure Park, also known as Milltown, was the home ground of Shamrock Rovers 1926 to 1987 when, amid much controversy, it was sold to property developers. It was also briefly home to Reds United during their only season of League of Ireland football in 1935/36.
The last game played at the ground was an FAI Cup game against Sligo Rovers on Sunday 12 April 1987, after which there was a protest and pitch invasion. The old ground is now a housing estate, within which is a monument to it's illustrious sporting past.
