WATERFORD
Out of sorts Waterford must defeat Drogheda United at home on Friday night if they are to keep their slim European hopes alive (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Blues have lost seven of their last nine games in all competitions and four of their last five league outings.
But they are just seven points behind fourth-placed Galway United with a game in hand as the battle for European football next season heats up.
While they have struggled in recent weeks, Keith Long’s side defeated Drogheda United last time the two teams met at the RSC earlier this season - winning 4-2.
However, they will be without the services of injured Kyle White for the game.
DROGHEDA UNITED
FAI Cup finalists Drogheda United can close the gap on eighth-placed Bohemians to one point with a win over Waterford on Friday evening.
The Boynesiders face the Blues at the same time of Bohs’ trip to the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, but have played a game more than Alan Reynolds’ side.
And they also come into the game having reached the FAI Cup final following a thrilling 3-2 win over First Division Wexford last weekend.
The win came at a cost though with striker Frantz Pierrot forced off early on and he is a doubt for Friday’s trip to the South-East as a result, Zishim Bawa and Matthew O’Brien remain injured.
Referee: Gavin Colfer.
