BOHEMIANS
Bohemians will be keen to end a dismal season with a win when they host Galway United at Dalymount Park (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Gypsies are marooned in eighth and have nothing other than pride to play for in their final league game of the season.
“It’s been a difficult season for the club,” boss Alan Reynolds said. We know how frustrating and disappointing it has been for supporters.
“I know supporters are probably tired of hearing me say that, so we just want to end the season with something for them to cheer about as we look ahead to next year now.
“Work has already started on our plans for next season. We have a lot of work to do to make the improvements necessary to push on as a club.
“Players will obviously move on and we have identified the priority areas where we need to strengthen. We have big players coming back too.”
Rob Cornwall, Leigh Kavanagh, Ross Tierney, Keith Buckley, James McManus and James Akintunde are out for Bohs.
GALWAY UNITED
Having officially missed out on European qualification last weekend, Galway United head to the capital seeking to cap off a fine season with a victory.
The Tribesmen confounded many pre-season predictions to comfortably survive.
Though assistant manager Ollie Horgan reckons his side left European football behind them this season and is delighted with the progress shown this season.
And the former Finn Harps boss wants more next season.
“I remember watching Bray play in a First Division game here because Finn Harps were playing Bray the following week,” he began when speaking to the Irish Sun.
“There were 350, maybe 400 people at the game. There were 4,300 here last Friday.
“The atmosphere was fabulous with the Sligo crowd and our crowd. That’s what you want. That’s what we’re here for.”
Referee: Rob Hennessy.
