WEXFORD
FAI Cup semi-finalists Wexford have their eyes on an eighth win on the spin in all competitions on Tuesday night when they host Bray Wanderers (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Slaneysiders were deserved 4-1 winners over Treaty United in the last eight of the FAI Cup on Friday evening, with Thomas Oluwa and Divin Isimala both scoring twice in a 4-1 victory.
They have since been drawn to face Drogheda United away from home in the semi-final.
But before that they must look to secure a place in the First Division playoff places.
And they are in a good position to achieve that having won their last seven in all competitions.
Five of those victories have come in the league for James Keddy’s men, which has propelled them up to third place.
A win over Bray would go a long way to achieving that aim of securing a place in the top five.
BRAY WANDERERS
With first-team coach Paul Heffernan now in charge of the Seagulls following the departure of Lorcan Fitzgerald last week, Bray Wanderers visit Ferrycarrig Park with a point to prove.
In their last league outing, Wanderers slumped to a costly 1-0 loss away to Longford Town.
That defeat, coupled with Finn Harps’ resurgent form, has seen them slip back to fifth place and they are now just one point ahead of the Co Donegal side who occupy sixth place.
But Bray have won four of their last six league games and can take confidence from defeating Wexford 3-1 at home in July.
But they head into the fixture against the Slaneysiders with defender Evan Osam still out.
Referee: Lucas Keating.
