TREATY UNITED
Treaty United aim to gain points in the play-off race as they host Cork City on Friday (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
They come into the game six points adrift of their rivals and needing to put a run of wins together.
A narrow victory over Finn Harps last weekend has at least given them hope. Enda Curran’s penalty at Markets Field proving to be the difference.
Treaty can be in confident mood of a positive result having drawn with City twice in the league already this season.
Recent arrivals Jack Kavanagh and Chris Horgan are expected to play some part having being part of the squad last weekend.
CORK CITY
Leaders Cork City travel to Limerick in confident mood after mood news on and off the pitch.
They are on a run of seven straight wins in all competitions after overcoming Kerry last Friday. It keeps them 15 points clear at the top.
The club also announced the permanent signing of Sean Murray and return of Ruairi Keating on multi-year contracts.
Tim Clancy expects another tough game in Limerick: “They will be very difficult to break down and they are very dangerous on the counter-attack. The job that Tommy (Barrett) does down there on a limited budget is superb and he has made them very competitive. It will be no different on Friday night.”
Keating is expected to be part of the matchday squad for tomorrow night.
Referee: Ryan Maher.
MATCH STATS
It has been tough going for the home side in recent encounters with Cork City. The visitors have not lost or conceded in their last five trips to their Munster rivals. The last time they beat Cork on home soil was their first ever league clash back in 2021. Matt Keane scoring in a 2-1 win.
