TREATY UNITED
League leaders Treaty United will be trying to maintain their 100 percent winning record when they host Bray Wanderers at the Markets Field (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Shannonsiders have already defeated Cobh Ramblers, UCD and Kerry this term - with their last two victories coming on the road.
And after seeing off Cobh Ramblers in front of almost 2,000 fans on the opening night, they return to the Garryowen venue once again for the visit of the Seagulls.
Striker Yoyo Mahdy has already found his finishing boots since joining from Bray, while Thomas Considine and Enda Curran have also got their names on the scoresheet.
But they will be keen to right the wrongs of their most recent outing against Kerry, as they went down 4-1 at Mounthawk Park in the Munster Senior Cup.
However, boss Tommy Barrett opted to rest a number of his players for that trip to the Kingdom just days after their league visit to the venue.
BRAY WANDERERS
Bray Wanderers head coach Ian Ryan is expecting a ‘really difficult’ encounter when his side visit Markets Field on Friday night.
The Seagulls have not played in a fortnight after their home tie against Longford Town was postponed due to an unplayable pitch at the Carlisle Grounds.
But they did win their last league outing against Kerry, having lost their seasonal opener against UCD last month.
“It’s going to be a really difficult game,” Ryan said. “Treaty have got better progressively over the past three years. They have a lot of stability with the squad they have.
“It’s their fourth year being together under Tommy Barrett. That stability is really beneficial to them. They are the only team in the country that’s won every league game to date..
“We believe in the group we have. We believe in the players we have.
“We think that if we go down there, and perform the way we can, we believe the result will be positive for us.”
Cristian Magerusan and Ben Feeney are injury doubts for the Wanderers.
Referee: Declan Toland.
