LONGFORD TOWN
Aiming for only their third league win all season, De Town reside bottom of the pile following the mid-season break.
Longford, having lost to ninth placed Kerry last time out, are stranded by five points and face a Finn Harps side they have lost to twice in two meetings so far in 2024.
On both occasions, though, Harps were pushed all the way as attacker, Jordan Adeyemo aims to build on his five goals.
With only one clean sheet in twenty-one matches, however, de Town need to tighten up defensively if they are to heave themselves up the table.
FINN HARPS
Fifth at the halfway stage, Harps resume their promotion push with only one point separating them from Bray Wanders and Athlone Town in third and fourth, respectively.
Indeed, since last beating Longford at Finn Park, Darren Murphy’s men have attained three draws, two defeats and another sole win of a yoyo early summer run.
Murphy will be aiming to replicate his team’s flying start to the season, a spree of five wins from eight all commenced by a comeback from two goals down here at Bishopgate in the reverse fixture on the opening night.
But with three players light since a fortnight ago, (Sean O’Donnell to America, loanee Chris Lotefa recalled by Bohemians and Shane McMonagle departing the club), Harps will need captain, Tony McNamee and top scorer, Success Edogun to continue producing the goods that could propel the Donegal side back to the top tier.
Referee: Lucas Keating.
