CORK CITY
Champions Cork City host Treaty United in the penultimate game of their home league campaign at Turner’s Cross on Friday night (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Leesiders won the First Division last month and have been busy trying to build a squad ready to compete in the Premier Division since then.
They have already signed strikers Seani Maguire and Ruairi Keating for 2024.
But more work will need to be done according to boss Tim Clancy.
“We will be having conversations with lads about next year very soon,” he said when speaking to the Cork Echo.
“Obviously, there will be some that move on. There will be others that come in, but that is just the nature of football. It’s the worst part as a manager.”
TREATY UNITED
With seventh spot up for grabs, Treaty United visit Leeside hellbent on staying above Munster rivals Cobh Ramblers.
But they have it all to do against First Division champions Cork City.
Tommy Barrett’s Shannonsiders have their last two league games on the spin having failed to win in four league outings before then.
Their last success came against Longford Town last weekend, winning 3-1 at the Market’s Field.
And Treaty can take confidence from their three games against Cork City this season, drawing every one of them in the league.
Referee: Jason Moore.
