COBH RAMBLERS
Cobh Ramblers wants his side to ‘dust themselves down’ ahead of Friday’s clash with Wexford at St Colman’s Park (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
Ramblers have endured a patchy start to the season and fell to a 3-0 loss against Cork City last weekend.
That defeat was played in horrendous conditions at Turner’s Cross.
But when speaking to the Cork Echo after the game last week, boss Gary Hunt said his side will learn from their defeat.
“We have to dust ourselves down. We made mistakes and we have to take it on the chin,” he said.
"I said it to the lads, not to let tonight define them because they are a better group than that.
"We were just caught on the hop tonight and unfortunately we weren’t prepared.
“I’ll take that on the chin. That is my fault as manager. The players will dust themselves down.
"They are a good group. They will go again. They have good character. They will rally around each other.”
WEXFORD
On a four-game unbeaten run, Wexford visit St Colman’s Park with momentum behind them.
James Keddy’s side have recovered from a stuttering start to the season and are ten points behind leaders Cork City with two games in hand.
But last weekend’s 3-2 victory over Treaty United has given them an opportunity to kick on and make the most of their momentum.
And they will be keen to do so ahead of their first visit to St Colman’s Park since last season’s play-off encounter against the Rams.
Wexford lost that tie 2-1 on aggregate.
But they have added to their squad in the meantime and will be hoping to right the wrongs of their heartbreaking end to last season.
Referee: Oliver Moran.
