COBH RAMBLERS
Cobh Ramblers will be looking to claim a scalp against Cork City on Friday evening when they host City at St Colman’s Park (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
Ramblers come into the game just five points outside the play-off place and won their last two games against Bray Wanderers and UCD.
But boss Gary Hunt is not letting his side get carried away with things.
“We’re taking things game by game but we have a bit of momentum coming into it,” he told extratime.com.
“I’m fully sure that the players will be looking forward to the game and the fans will back us back on our new pitch at St Colman’s Park.
“There is going to be a really good buzz around the place and a real interest in the game come Friday. We just have to make sure that we play our part.”
CORK CITY
Unbeaten and top of the table, Cork City are motoring very nicely as they go in search of promotion back to the Premier Division at thefirst attempt.
But they will be acutely aware that nothing will come easy against a Cobh side who will be gunning for them.
City ran out 3-0 winners the last time the side’s met at Turner’s Cross, though Tim Clancy’s side were held by Wexford on Monday evening at home.
The Leesiders stretched their lead at the summit after second-placed UCD were beaten by Cobh at the same time.
Greg Bolger returns from injury for City while they have not reported any further injury issues.
Referee: Ray Matthews.
