Shelbourne gained ground on Wexford Youths with a 2-1 win over Cork City at Tolka Park on Saturday.

The Rebels took the lead in the first half through Becky Cassin, but it was Cassin who drew the side level before half-time when she scored an own goal.

The Reds left it late to claim the three points with Megan Smyth-Lynch scoring in the 88^th minute leaving Shelbourne just one point behind Women’s National League leaders Wexford Youths.
