BRAY WANDERERS
After securing their first league win of the season, Bray Wanderers host local-rivals Cabinteely at the Carlisle Grounds on Friday night (kick-off is at 7.30pm).
The Seagulls clinched a late win away to Galway United last weekend, with Gary Shaw making his impact off the bench with a late injury time winner.
The result comes as a welcome boost as Bray begin to welcome a number of injuries back to the fold.
“We’re slowly getting bodies back,” Gary Shaw told extratime.com last weekend.
“We’re missing five or six starters. We’ve Ryan Graydon coming back from suspension which has been a massive loss for us, he’s a huge part of the team.
“We have Darren Craven, Steven Kinsella coming back so serious firepower coming back at the right time, we’ve got that monkey off our back now, got the win under the belt.
“We just need to kick on now, two very winnable games coming up in Cabo and Wexford and that sees us out the series then.
“If we can finish that with three wins, then brilliant, we can go into the next series of games with a full squad and a real desire to go and do well.”
CABINTEELY
After securing their second league win on the spin, Cabinteely will be looking to stop their local rivals Bray doing the same this weekend when they visit the Carlisle Grounds.
The Green and White’s scored late last week to see off Cobh Ramblers at Stradbrook, with Mitchell Byrne scoring in the 88th minute.
“We’re looking forward to it,” Collie O’Neill told his club’s media team this week. “It was good to get back to winning ways at home last week against Cobh. There were more points on the board. We’ll be looking to keep that momentum going.”
He added: “It is a big game. But it is a really competitive league. There is not much between all of the sides. It’s really tight.”
Kevin Knight will miss out again as he serves a suspension, while Andy O’Brien and Peter Quinlan are also expected to miss out again with long-term injuries.
Referee: Kevin O’Sullivan.
