UCD
The Students will be looking to put their FAI cup exit behind them and continue their good league form when they welcome Wexford to the UCD Bowl on Friday. (KO 7:45PM).
Andy Myler’s side raced into a 1-0 lead against Sligo thanks to Paul Doyle. However, goas from Kyle McFadden, Ronan Coughlan and Jesse Devers dumped the Dublin side out of the cup.
Previous to their cup exit, the Students had won four of their last five league games.
The most recent and most impressive of their recent results was a 3-0 win away to First Division leaders Cabinteely.
UCD will be without Michael Gallagher and Jack Keaney through suspension after their red cards in a recent game with Athlone.
WEXFORD
Wexford will be hoping they can put a halt to their recent run of poor form when they travel to the capital.
Brian O’Sullivan’s side have won just once since the League of Ireland re-start and were knocked out of the FAI Cup by Athlone last Friday.
It looked like Wexford would recover their form last Friday at the Athlone Town Stadium when Jack Doherty and Conor English put them into a 2-0 lead before a second half fight back from Athlone meant they beat Wexford 5-3.
Things went from bad to worse for Wexford away at Longford on Monday when a late Aaron McCabe brace meant that O’Sullivan’s side came away pointless again.
At the time of writing Wexford hadn’t published any team news.
