BRAY WANDERERS

Bray Wanderers will be looking to take one step closer to clinching the First Division title when they welcome Galway United to the Carlisle Grounds on Saturday afternoon (kick-off is at 3pm).

The Seagulls may clinch the title as early as tomorrow afternoon should they win, and Drogheda fail to win at home versus Wexford.

Bray head into the game after seeing off Shamrock Rovers II last week at Tallaght Stadium.

Gary Cronin’s side won 2-0 at the Dublin 24 venue, with Darragh Lynch and Derek Daly helping Bray on their way to victory.

Since being knocked out of the FAI Cup, Bray have won seven of their last eight league games, with their sole defeat coming at home to Drogheda United.

In terms of team news for Cronin’s charges, they have a fully-fit squad to choose from ahead of the visit of Galway to the Carlisle Grounds.

GALWAY UNITED

After succumbing to a bitterly disappointing defeat on Tuesday evening at home to Drogheda United, Galway United will be looking to salvage their playoff hopes when they visit Bray Wanderers.

The Tribesmen know that they must win should they want to reach the First Division playoffs after their defeat on Tuesday.

“We've trained well in the lead up to the Bray Wanderers game and we're looking forward to it,” Galway boss Caulfield told his club’s media team.

“Bray are a good side, they came to Eamonn Deacy Park a few months ago and drew 0-0.

“We're looking to bounce back ourselves, but we know it will be a tough game. We've prepared well and we'll be going to Bray giving everything we can.

“People may think that we are gone, but for us, it's simply about getting back to what we've been doing over the last few weeks, which is giving good performances and having the attitude that we're going to win the match.”

In terms of team news for Galway, Stephen Christopher is suspended, while Josh Smith and Donal Higgins are ruled out with injury.
