BRAY WANDERERS
After being dumped out of the FAI Cup last time out by Finn Harps, Bray Wanderers return to action this evening to face Cabinteely at the Carlisle Grounds (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Seagulls were undone thanks to an Alexander Kogler brace as Paul Keegan was given his marching orders for an altercation with a Finn Harps player.
His dismissal will now mean that he will miss out on Friday’s clash against their local rivals.
Bray will also be without Aaron Barry who is also suspended after picking up a red card following their nil-nil draw away to Galway United.
Bray have not conceded a league goal in any of their previous three league games – with their last goal conceded coming in the three-one defeat away to Drogheda United at United Park.
Should Bray Wanderers record a victory over Cabinteely this evening, they could move to within two points of their local rivals.
Following Friday’s game, Bray Wanderers are due to face Athlone Town on Monday evening at the Carlisle Grounds.
CABINTEELY
After back-to-back defeats, Cabinteely will be looking to bounce back when they visit the Carlisle Grounds this evening.
Cabo were second best for large parts of their two-nil defeat away to Bohemians on Monday evening – as they were the week prior against UCD.
While Cabo will be looking for a return to winning ways, they will also see their manager Pat Devlin return to his former stomping ground.
However, Devlin is keen for his Cabinteely side to get back to winning ways rather than focusing on his past at Bray.
I loved my time at Bray but this is a different mission that we are on now,” he said. “We’ve got to go there and beat a very good Bray side and we’ve got to get something out of it.
“We’ve got a tough week ahead of us with Bray then obviously Drogheda on Monday night.
“We’ve got a few players back from injury which I’m happy with but trying to get the right balance will be important now so let’s see if we can get a few more back this week.”
Cabinteely will be without Kevin Knight this evening due to suspension.
Referee: Alan Patchell.
