UCD
The Students have started the season well as the nip at the heels of the more popular favourites for the First Division title this season.
Unbeaten in their opening three matches including an impressive 1-1 draw with Galway United during which they showcased their scintillating style of play, Collie O’Neill’s men will be looking to continue this unbeaten run when Cabo visit Belfield on Friday night.
CABINTEELY
Pat Devlin’s side have had a tough beginning to the 2018 First Division season. Many commentators have predicted Cabinteely to challenge for a playoff spot come the end of the season but results will have to change for the South Dublin side if they’re to put up a meaningful challenge.
They failed to score in their opening two fixtures as they went down by a goal to Wexford and Cobh before getting dominated by Galway United 3-1 last Friday in Eamonn Deacy Park.
Cabo finally opened their account with a win on Monday night but they just about edged out Athlone Town, a side who look like a win is completely beyond them at the moment.
A win could give Pat Devlin’s men confidence as they go into another South Dublin derby in search of victory.
